Gardner resident joins Milwaukee Ballet

Meredith Green, 19, of Gardner, recently accepted a performance contract with the Milwaukee Ballet.
She now lives and works in Milwaukee training and rehearsing five days a week. She has been given an opportunity to dance in a leading role in the Milwaukee ballet’s production of Prokofier’s Romeo and Juliet on Oct. 31st. She will be appearing in the role of Lady Montague and is looking forward to her first performance as part of a professional company.
Green is an alumni of the American Youth Ballet directed by Kristopher Estes Brown and Jennifer Tierney. She has danced in several leading roles in fall production with live orchestra, including major roles in the Nutcracker, Swan’s Lake’s heroine, Odette and many other contemporary ballet roles.
She has danced in summer intensive sessions with the Boston and Tulsa ballet, Ballet met and the Milwaukee Ballet.
Green is the daughter of Dave and Deborah Green, of Gardner.
