Gardner Police seek assistance in locating burglary suspect

Gardner Police are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect in a string of commercial burglaries.

A white male is suspected of breaking into two Gardner businesses in the early morning hours of July 29. The suspect broke into Metcalf Bank, 109 E. Main Street, and Tres Chic Beauty Salon, 315 E. Main.

Photos garnered from surveillance videos show a white male with blonde or graying hair with a cloth over his face.

Neither business reported that anything was stolen, however damage to property occurred due to forced entry. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit assisted in processing both crime scenes.

Authorities have released surveillance video photos of the suspect. Anyone with information about the break-ins or the possible suspect can contact police at (913)856-7312 or the TIPS Hotline at (816)474-8477.
