Gardner police conducting truck safety inspections today

The Gardner Police Department is conducting a truck safety inspection check lane this morning. The inspections will continue through noon.

The check lane will be setup in the 300 block of Stonecreek Drive, with various trucks being escorted to the inspection site by motorcycle officers.  Stonecreek Drive will be CLOSED to through traffic during these hours. This is a joint effort with assistance being provided by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, Kansas Highway Patrol, Olathe Police Department, Lenexa Police Department and the Shawnee Police Department.

The objective of this check lane is to ensure that the trucks being driven and operated on the streets of Gardner are being done so in a safe manner with the required safety equipment installed and utilized on the trucks.
