Gardner man charged with trying to hire a hit man

A Gardner man was charged with hiring a hit man to kill his ex-wife this morning.
Rheuben Clifford Johnson, III, Gardner, is now in Johnson County jail on $1 million bond.
According to Johnson County Attorney Steve Howe, the charges stem from a May 18 incident in Olathe.
Olathe Police Department arrested Johnson on Tuesday night. Howe said Johnson should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

It is my understanding that a law enforcement undercover agent was the one who Johnson made the deal with. I wonder if Johnson has remarried??? Man, if he has and I was the new wife, I would be having a hard time sleeping but Howe tells us he should be considered innocent until proven guilty in court ……………………all you single ladies out there, I would be checking every single man I was considering to go out with on the Johnson County District Court Public Search site (http://courts.jocogov.org/dc.aspx – hint: enter only part of the last name and hit partial name search) under the civil and criminal records and as far as that goes, I would encourage every single man to do the same with any woman they are thinking about dating and every citizen should be doing it with any person they are thinking about doing business with. Those few minutes of doing just that simple check could perhaps save you a whole lot of headaches and heartaches. And I wish every citizen here in Johnson County was checking the Sheriff’s Office Booking Report (http://www.jocosheriff.org/index.aspx?page=166) daily so they are aware and informed.
