Gardner Ice softball team takes 2nd place at Legacy Tournament

Solid pitching and defense carried the Gardner Ice 16-18-year-old softball team to a second place finish in the Legacy tournament at the Olathe girls association fields last weekend.
Pitchers for the team were Chelsie Gilner, Sarah Hanson, and Olivia Schultz.
Catchers were Bethany Schultz and Kendra Rogers.
In the outfield were Sara Gilner, Hannah Flores and Val Jardon while solid infield play came from Jaclyn Adamson, Sara Coble and Taylor Finnell.
The team will play a 10-game schedule in the Olathe Girls Softball Association League and will compete in two more tournaments.
