The family of Katy and Joe Burdolski requests the honor of your presence at a special engagement this summer.
The long-time residents of the Gardner-Edgerton area are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary on June 1, and the entire community is invited to see not only Katy’s bridal gown, but more than a dozen others that will be on display at the Gardner Historical Museum.
The historical society’s annual bridal gown exhibit, “Then & Now” features the gowns of local brides. The oldest dress is from the 1910s, and the newest was worn in 2010.
According to Marcia Gay, an organizer of the museum’s bridal display, a variety of styles including short and long dresses will be exhibited.
“I’m hoping you’re going to see something different,” Gay said as she decorated the museum with tulle last week.
The display opens on June 1 and will run through mid-July.
Museum hours are 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays through Tuesdays and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday evenings.
