Gardner Gold medal at state

The Gardner Gold Special Olympics team participated in the Kansas State Bowling Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Overland Park College Lanes.
The Golds had an outstanding performance with all 12 athletes placing against teams from Wichita, Topeka, Derby, and Blue Valley.
Ryan Prothe took fourth place. Bronze medalists include Skyler Aldridge, Katie Bailey, Harry Colgan, Cameron Currier and Ryan Toews. Grant Jordan and Damon Stroud brought home silver medalists. Gold medalists include Arianna Aldridge, Corinne Currier, Tammy Holmes, and Luke Mayo.
The Gardner Golds will be starting basketball and cheerleading soon. Those interested in participating can call Jason Bruce at Gardner Parks and Recreation.
