Frontier Days set for June 15-16

Edgerton will celebrate its 40th Annual Frontier Days festival June 15-16.
This year’s theme reflects the city’s recently adopted motto, “Growing into the Future: Global Routes, Local Roots.”
Grand Marshals will be Candid Marketing and Communications, the Lee’s Summit firm that designed the city’s new logo and tagline.
The festival kicks off with kids night on Friday, June 15.
The schedule includes:
4 p.m. — Craft and food vendors, wood carver, face painting and balloons.
6 p.m. — Carnival. Armbands are $10 each or $25 for a family of four.
6:30 p.m. — Baby contest registration. Categories range from newborns to 24 months.
7 p.m. — Cops and Bobbers, frog races, turtle races and Hot Wheels races.
7:30 p.m. — Street dance featuring DJ Shane McClintock, beer garden.
9 p.m. — Wood carver.
The schedule for Saturday, June 16 includes:
7 a.m. to 10 a.m. — biscuits and gravy at Edgerton United Methodist Church.
8 a.m. — Craft and food vendors.
9 a.m. — Parade registration and lineup, registration for the Van De Creek kids pedal power tractor pull (Community Hall).
10 a.m. — Parade.
11 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Carnival. Armbands are $10 each or $25 for a family of four.
12 p.m. — Wood carver.
1 p.m. — Garden tractor and truck pull.
2 p.m. — Wood carver.
3 p.m. — Kids’ Ranch Rodeo.
4 p.m. — Wood carver.
5:30 p.m. — Blind auction and wood carvings.
7 p.m. — Wood carver.
8 p.m. — Street dance featuring Travis Marvin.
