Food, cash being collected to serve 1 million meals

Arvest Bank, including the Gardner branch, is partnering with Harvesters over the next few months to provide one million meals or more to people in need.
Community members can support the effort by dropping off monetary donations or non-perishable food items at any of the 18 Arvest Bank branches in the Greater Kansas City metro area. Items can be dropped at the Gardner branch until Nov. 3.
Monetary donations can also be made online by visiting www.arvestbank.harvesters.org.
Harvesters is this area’s only food bank. Serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas, Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 620 not-for-profit agencies. Agencies in Harvesters’ network provide food assistance to as many as 66,000 different people each week.
