Five Blazers earn medals in state track competition

Five Gardner Edgerton High School Blazers brought back medals from the 6A state track and field meet in Wichita last weekend.
On the boys side, Kyle Stubler placed fifth in the pole vault and Andrew Sprague took seventh in the discus.
For the girls, Karli Smith tied for second in the pole vault, Taylor Claybon finished fifth in the hurdles and Abby Buie ended in a five-way tie for fifth in the pole vault.
“Congrats to all our state medalist,” said Coach Brian McGee. “I was real proud of the effort.”
