Filing deadline passes; candidate slates full

The city slates are full in Gardner and Spring Hill after the passing of the filing deadline at noon on Jan. 22.

In Gardner, two names will appear on the spring ballot for mayor. In that race incumbent Dave Drovetta faces council vice president Chris Morrow.

For council seats, voters will choose two of five candidates — Chris Benjamin, Randy Gregorcyk, council president Kristina Harrison, Tory Roberts and Steve Shute.

In Spring Hill, only one candidate remains on the ballot for mayor — Steven Ellis. Current Mayor Mark Squire has formally withdrawn from the race.

Spring Hill voters will choose two of three candidates for city council. They include Chad Eckert, incumbent Chris Leaton, and Bradley Zerr.
