Elementary school raises funds for charities

Praire Creek students jumped their way to big donations to the American Heart Association. During the school’s annual Jump Rope for Heart event, students raised $2,800. In addition, they launched a campaign called “Pennies for Patients.” Students collected spare change and gave the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a group that raises funds to find a cure for blood cancers, $1,300.
