Driver shot on I-35 by Edgerton

A shooting that closed the interstate last weekend was likely an accident, though police are still investigating all possibilities. That’s the word from Miami County Undersheriff Wayne Minckley.
“It just doesn’t appear to be intentional, but we can’t rule that out,” Minckley said.
Law enforcement agents responded en masse to the report of a shooting at approximately 8:18 p.m. on Sept. 6 near Interstate 35 and Edgerton Road. The driver of a 2007 Dodge Caravan was struck by a bullet fired from an unknown location.
Police aren’t releasing the name of the injured driver, a Johnson County man, but Minckley said he was taken to the hospital, had surgery and should be OK. The other passengers in the car, including
