Donald “Don” Gene Reddell

Donald “Don” Gene Reddell, 66, of Spring Hill, Kansas passed away May 22, 2014 at his home.

Don was born June 4, 1947 in Vendor, Arkansas to Ernest H. and Lela Viola (Flood) Reddell. He was a graduate of East High School in Kansas City, Missouri and later earned his Associate’s Degree.

Don served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam.

He married Nancy L. Findley on Nov 11, 1995 in Merriam, Kansas. He was a member of Hillsdale Presbyterian Church. Don enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was a great joke teller and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Cookie and Buddy.

Don is survived by his wife Nancy, of the home; children Heidi Bell and Bryan, of Dallas, Georgia, Courtney Gillespie and Rusty, of Lawson, Missouri, Kristy Brown and Terry, of Spring Hill and Darin Joeckel, of Olathe, Kansas; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings Doris Galvin of Blue Springs, Missouri, Pat Moore, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Mike Moore and Velma Beymer, of Holden, Missouri and Mary Wright, of Kingsville, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be 12 p.m., May 27, 2014 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS (913)592-2244. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Olathe Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.burcefuneralhome.com.
