Members of Trailblazers 4-H Club and the Miami County Dog Club showed  their animals to the boys at The Gillis Center for Children & Families in Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday, Dec. 28. The boys, ages 5-17, enjoyed learning about their furry and feathered visitors. The presenters explained the necessary responsibilities that come  with being an animal owner and even swapped some fun stories during their hands-on experience with rabbits, chickens, and dogs. For many of the boys at The Gillis Center, petting and even holding the animals was a new, exciting experience. Trailblazers also donated hats, gloves, scarves, and socks to the boys during the visit.
