Denning appointed to 911 council

Gov. Sam Brownback has appointed Johnson County Sheriff Frank Denning to the 911 Coordinating Council. Members of the council monitor the delivery of 911 services, develop strategies to improve the 911 system, and distribute available grant funds to city or county-operated public safety answering points. The council is comprised of 26 members, all appointed by the governor. Each member is appointed to a three-year term.
Denning, of Edgerton, has worked in law enforcement for more than 42 years.
The Governor’s Office is always looking for qualified, interested Kansans to serve the state on commissions and boards in their areas of expertise.  Those interested in serving on a commission or board should visit http://governor.ks.gov/serving-kansans/office-of-appointments.
