Cold shooting dooms Broncos

Cold shooting from the field and free-throw line spelled doom for the Spring Hill High School Bronco boys basketball squad in a 66-45 loss to Baldwin, Jan. 16.
SHHS trailed 11-4 after one quarter and fell behind 33-19 at halftime. The Broncos had a 16-12, third-quarter run, but Baldwin answered with 21 fourth-quarter points to seal the verdict.
“We did just did not shoot the ball very well,” said Coach Rick O’Neil. “It was just one of those nights.”
Despite the offensive woes, Nick Reynolds had 12 points and Ryker Johnson added 11 points. Drew Cygan had 10, Danny Hodge had seven and Chris Bybee, 3, Trevor Cluck and Chance Hollern, one point.
Now 6-3, SHHS hosts its annual invitational Jan. 21-24. First round action pits the Broncos against Gardner Edgerton High School  Jan. 21.
