City of Gardner rescinds water boil advisory

The city of Gardner rescinded its boil order at 2 a.m. on July 9.

The boil order had been in effect since Saturday night when the city lost pressure in the water system due to a water line break. When such a loss of pressure occurs, it is possible for contaminants to enter the system. Also, chlorine residuals may drop to levels that are inadequate to protect against bacterial contamination.
