City of Edgerton to host Comp Plan open house

The city of Edgerton will host an open house for residents to review proposed revisions to the city’s Comprehensive Plan. The walk-in event will start at 6 p.m. at city hall on Aug. 31.

According to a post by city administrator David Dillner on the Edgerton Insights blog, the plan will establish long-term goals and priorities of the community.

“Edgerton is anticipating growth in the future as the BNSF Intermodal Facility and Logistics Park-KC develops,” Dillner posted. “The growth that the community experiences will expand the city’s tax base and create thousands of jobs. This growth is critical to the future success of the community, but it also is important for the community to get involved and discuss what kind of development is both wanted and expected.”

The Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed revisions during a meeting on Sept. 14.
