Gardner is accepting applications for the following boards and commissions:
Planning Commission – 2 positions
The Planning Commission is a citizen body that reviews development proposals for compliance with the city’s adopted plans and development policies, receives reports from city staff, conducts public hearings, and makes recommendations to the City Council.
Airport Advisory Board – 1 position
The Airport Advisory Board advises the City Council on matters pertaining to continued growth and improvement of the airport, including the acquisition of property, construction and reconstruction of airport facilities, and the institution of programs and procedures which will increase usage of such facilities. The board will also review and make recommendations regarding the airport master plan.
Utility Advisory Commission – 2 positions
The Utility Advisory Commission provides guidance and recommendations for all utilities of the city, including water, wastewater and electric.
Board of Building Code Appeals – 5 positions
The Board of Building Code Appeals advises the City Council regarding matters pertaining to changes and/or improvements to the construction and reconstruction of facilities, procedures which will increase the life, health, and safety of such facilities, and recommendations regarding the Property Maintenance Code.
