Churches to offer financial planning classes

Fellowship Bible Church, 16900 Waverly Road, will offer the nine-week financial planning course, Financial Peace University, on Tuesdays starting Sept. 25.
The course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success.
The course meets once a week. DVD lessons are taught by Dave Ramsey, New York Times best-selling author and talk-show radio host. Budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies, and investing will be some of the topics covered.

“FPU will not only transform the way you handle money, but also your marriage and other areas of your life,” Ramsey said. “This isn’t a boring financial class. We make learning about money fun and easy to understand so people in every situation can benefit from the information.”

The course at Fellowship Bible Church will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 25. For more information or to register, call Jonathan Peterson at (913)856-8454.
FirstLight Methodist Church, 138 E. Main, will also offer the course. FirstLight will offer its first class at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13. For more information or to register, call the church at (913)938-5600.
