Cheryl Harrison-Lee accepts city administrator job

Danedri Thompson
Cheryl Harrison-Lee has accepted the position of Gardner City Administrator.
Her signature is on a contract agreeing to take the job.  City officials will likely sign after the holiday weekend.
According to the contract, her first day with the city will be July 16.
Today, interim-city-administrator Mike Press is managing the city under a temporary contract that is set to expire at the end of June. However, it is likely city council members will extend his contract to assist in Harrison-Lee’s transition.
Harrison-Lee’s previous experience includes municipal government experience in Florida. She is also a former district manager with the Florida Department of Transportation.
“She’s extremely capable, very bright lady,” Press said.  “I think she’s going do a great job for the city.”
