Four SH Bronco wrestlers qualify for state

Four Broncos will make the trip to the 4A state wrestling meet by virtue of posting qualifying marks at a 4A regional in Spring Hill, Feb. 17-18. The Bronco JV wrestlers turned in an impressive effort at the 25-team Blue Valley Invitational on Feb. 4. Late basket lifts Broncos to win over Baldwin

Cole Lillich’s last second lay-up proved to be the difference as the Broncos escaped with a hard-earned 58-56 win at home versus Baldwin, Jan. 13. Bronco boys win big in non-conference game

Matt Smith scored 15 points and Derek Bybee added 14 points leading the Spring Hill boys basketball team to a big 74-41 non-conference win at home versus Atchison on Dec. 20. The 2011 Spring Hill Stingers fast pitch softball team recently wrapped up first place in the Olathe Girls Softball Association league. The team also took first in the ASA Spooky Weekend tourney and number one in the OGSA Spooktacular tournament. Look for more local sport stories in our print edition!
