Blazers second at SH basketball invite

Reaching the finals for the second season in a row, the Blazer boys varsity basketball team brought back second place honors from the Spring Hill Invitational last week. Kellen Kueser’s three point goal with six seconds left lifted the Trailridge seventh grade boys varsity to a dramatic 36-34 win over Louisburg last week. The Blazer freshman wrestlers brought back four individual titles from the Bishop Miege Invitational last weekend. Gold medals went to Carlos Gaeta (106 pounds), Gabe Bonham (132 pounds), Jonah May (145 pounds), Peyton Vance (285 pounds). Blazers fall to Blue Valley Northwest

Falling behind 23-5 in the first quarter, the Blazers dropped a 60-29 win to Blue Valley Northwest last Friday night. GEHS, 1-7, trailed 32-15 at halftime but Northwest scored 28 second half points to secure the win. Despite the loss, Devan Toomey had 12 points and Bryson Rohr, five points.
