Gardner Edgerton High School senior Hope Bruno and freshman Mia Tovkach earned first place medals pacing the lady Blazer effort at the annual GEHS Golf Invitational last week.
The five team scramble event included Basehor-Linwood, Spring Hill, Mill Valley and Turner high schools.
GEHS sophomore Taylor Hill and freshman Shae Stamps earned third place medals with scores of 42.
GEHS’ Hannah Trivitt and Emily Smith earned scores of 45, while Taylor Snell and Haley Meyer shot a 48. Alexis Bailey and Skylar Washington earned 49.
“It’s been awhile since we took home first and third place medals,” said GEHS Coach Amy Van Rheen. “It’s an honor for the team and all the hard work they have put in.”
It will be a busy week for GEHS with tourneys at Paola, Leavenworth and Heritage Park.
