Bruin ball club season off to competitive start

It’s been quite a season so far for Coach Matt McClure and his Gardner 11-and-under Bruin baseball team.
McClure has guided his group to an 11-4 record in the Gardner competitive league, and the team has a 12-7 mark in area tournaments, including first place finishes at the Blue Valley Classic and the Cowtown Classic at Celebration Park in Gardner.
“The kids have worked hard and have shown a lot of improvement,” said McClure.  “It’s been a lot of fun.
McClure has help from assistants Dave Johns, Jeff Langehr, Matt Kueser, and Jon Elder.
Their roster includes Caden Elder, Brooks Langehr, Dylan Jacobs,Jake McClure, Roman Samuels, Kallen Kueser, Tyler Halbrook, Quintin Johns, Storm Frazier, and Gage Kane.
With the season winding down, the Bruins have set their sights on the 11A state tournament at 3&2 stadium in late June.
