Coach Brent Smitheran welcomed a talented group to Spring Hill High School cross country practice Aug. 17 in preparation for a Sept. 3 Anderson County season opener.
Makayla Kosberg, Andi Oursler and Taylor Mangels will lead the girls’ team.
“We have a fairly young girls’ team this year, but we have excellent leaders in Makayla and Andi,” Smitheran said.
Clayton Hatfield, Dylan Brenneman, Michael Herman, Joel Oberkrom and Noah Nemer will set the pace for the boys’ team.
“I’m excited about the boys’ team with many varsity runners returning, and we have big expectations for them,” added Smitheran.
Following the Anderson County event, the team travels to the Ottawa Invitational.
