Pitching and defense will be the keys to Spring Hill’s success as the Broncos take to the field March 29 in the season opener at Ottawa.

“The keys to this season as always are solid defense and good pitching,” said coach David Londene. “Practices have gone well so far and we have had super weather to get outside.”

Top returnees include seniors Brady Donahue (cf), Miles Updike (ss), Derek Bybee (2b), Carson King (lf), and juniors Zach Girrens (p, 1b) and Lake Johnson (p, 3b).

Promising newcomers are juniors Eric Zeller (c) and senior Bryce Duncan (rf).
Londene returns for his 16th season sporting an overall record of 229-102. Last year the Broncos posted an 18-7 record, and took state 4A runner-up.
First pitch versus Ottawa is set for 4:30 p.m.
