Brick by brick

Workmen were laying bricks Monday morning on an outer walkway at a large center circle inside a round-about-drive near the two school buildings that are presently under construction southeast of Gardner’s downtown business district. Several blocks of new connecting streets, plus parking lots and the round-about, are being constructed in the vicinity of the all-new school district campus where both an elementary school and middle school are being built.

While these schools are being built, the sky high bill has not yet landed on taxpayer property tax bills but that will be happening – I doubt very much if citizens are prepared for the sticker shock they are going to get in the years ahead.

Just read this article http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/blog/morning_call/2013/06/kansas-regents-give-legislature-an-f.html?ana=e_kan_rdup. Board of Regents is not the only entity pissed with Brownback and his paid legislators and their actions during the past two years. Clown Sutton sure went along with the travesty cronyism government just like I anticipated and he enables and supports the gun crazies while showing his ignorance, fear and regression. The people picked their poison and they certainly are and will be getting poisoned by the actions, inaction and voting records of these Republican legislators.

It used to be the state of Kansas provided about 52% of the costs for Kansas state colleges, then about 5 to 10 years ago that percentage had got down to 26% – I hate to think what it is today but I have a good idea of how tuition costs have skyrocketed in recent years. And it looks like Congress is about ready to double student loan interest rates. The rich, who these Republicans work for, have no problem with these increasing costs but I know average families are struggling to get their kids educated and I am not talking about a sports education.

Who’s your Daddy???? Sure isn’t Brownback and his crew or Gilhaus and his School Board or Gardner City government and on and on it goes………….Joe Blow Citizen is on his or her own – make no mistake about it but they have themselves to blame for many of their problems by not doing their jobs and not holding these lowlifes accountable.
