Brett Limer, Gardner, filed for election to USD 231 Board of Education (District
2) on Wednesday, Jan. 2. The general election is April 2. If necessary, the primary election is February 26.
“The main part of my platform is increased transparency within the the District and from the Board,” Limer said.
“As a parent of two, I understand the importance of education,” Limer added. “The teachers and staff of our district do an excellent job, and I want to work to nurture that legacy through the promotion of a positive working environment. Given the present economic conditions, I would also strive to promote fiscal responsibility and accountability by encouraging easy access to public information – especially expenditures of bond money and the annual budget process.”
Limer is an employee of Sprint and has lived in the Gardner area for 10 years. He has a wife Shelby, and two children Flora and Matthew.
