Grand Star Elementary School recently hosted the Kansas Department of Education’s  traveling exhibit, the Body Venture. The exhibit, which features a 45-foot by 50-foot venture-through exhibit of the human body, teaches school children the importance of making healthy food choices and being physically active.
Set up in the Grand Star Elementary gymnasium, students traveled through the human body including  through the mouth, LEFT.
The journey included stops in the intestines, stomach, and lungs. Volunteers helped staff the exhibit, and students received additional training in the classrooms prior to the hands-on learning experience in the Body Venture.
