The Blazers’ freshman/sophomore grade boys basketball team recently earned first place honors in a home MAYB tournament on July 27-28.
After posting a 3-1 pool play record, the Blazers turned back a tough Dino Squad in the semi final and then won a close title game versuys CTG. Top pool play performances came from Sean Callahan, Jake Beckner and Traezon Henderson.
In the title game versus CTG, the Blazers got inspired performances from incoming freshmen Eli Reynolds, Michael Trivilino, Nolan Beets, Kade Loring and Trey Jackson.
“The boys protected their home court and kept the gold medals in Gardner,” said coach Kevin Wright. “It was a close game in the final but the boys trusted and had faith in the process.”
Playing for the tournament champions were Nolan Beets, Jake Beckner, Sean Callahan, Traezon Henderson, Carson Hobby, Taco Haywood, Trey Jackson, Eli Reynolds, and Michael Trivilino.
