Reaching the finals for the second season in a row, the Blazer boys varsity basketball team brought back second place honors from the Spring Hill Invitational last week.
GEHS, 3-8, reached the final by virtue of wins against Veritas Christian (67-58) and Spring Hill (49-43). That set up a rematch with Goddard-Eisenhower.
GEHS jumped to an early 18-15 first quarter lead and but trailed 27-24 at halftime, but Goddard went on a 15-8 third quarter run and added 18 fourth quarter points to seal a 60-50 title game.
Despite the loss, Nate Wagner had 12 points, while Bryson Rohr had 11 points. Devan Toomey and Jordan McIntyre had eight points apiece.
