Blazers drop DH to St. Thomas Aquinas

Battling until the end, the Gardner Edgerton High School Blazer boys varsity baseball team dropped a hard-fought doubleheader to St. Thomas Aquinas High School by scores of 12-5, 17-7.
Game one was played at Kauffman Stadium, and the Blazers lost 12-5.
Despite the loss, Luke Whitlow, Nolan Beets, and Jacob Means led the offense. Whitlow and Beets had two hits while Means had three RBIs.
Wally Nellor took the pitching loss, and now has a 2-2 record.
In the night cap, GEHS lost 17-7 despite a 3-4 performance by Means at the plate. Means also stroked a home run.
Brett Wolford took the pitching loss, and now has a 2-2 record.
Now 5-4 overall, the Blazers returned to the diamond against Blue Valley North High School this week. Results were unknown at press time.
