Blazers defeat St. Thomas Aquinas on senior night

Playing their best basketball of the season, the Blazers celebrated senior night with a 71-48 win against arch rival St. Thomas Aquinas, Feb 15.
Senior Kyle Huppe led the way with 22 points, five rebounds and two assists. He canned three treys as GEHS connected on nine shots from behind the arc. Fellow senior Dilon Dodson had 13 points and Traevohn Wrench, 10. Senior Matt Plank had eight points. Josh Lang and Brett Wright had three points and Kyle Hultgren, two points.
Early on St. Thomas took a 16-10 lead. Back came GEHS with a 20 second quarter points to take a 30 23 halftime lead. GEHS caught fire in the second half with 41 additional points to secure the league win.
Now 9-8 on the season, the Blazers hit the road for games against Schlagle and Bishop Miege before starting regional competition.
