Blazers cross country season opens in Wichita

After nearly a month of conditioning, Coach Larry Ward and his Blazer cross country team travel to Wichita for its season opener, Sept. 6
The boys squad lost its top four scorers from last season but have returning talent in Tim Ward, Omar Quintana and Tim Visos-Ely.
The girls return four of five scorers from last year. Top returners include seniors Aly Daniels, Katie Groshong, and Mckenna Douglass, junior Sierra Coen and sophomores Lindsey Plank and Miranda Tenove.
Several newcomers are on both rosters. New to the boys roster are freshman Kale Scott, Garrett Pogue, Tanner Oehm, Trey Mauldin, Austin Faris, Joe Corbin, and Taylor Chambers, juniors Marcus Gilmore and Austin Jones.
Newcomers on the girls side are freshman Eden Weyand, Katelyn Schultz, Jewell Carter, Taylor Amundson, sophomores Bridget Kiosow and and Jaycee Zeck and junior Allison Gardiner.
