Blazer soccer teams win openers

All three Blazers soccer squads posted wins in action at Shawnee Mission North Sept. 5th.
In the opener, the C-team earned an impressive 6-3 win with goals from Jeremy Zamora, Colton Bryan, Alex Garcia and a hat trick from Stormy Ford.
In junior varsity action, the Blazers posted a 2-0 win behind goals from Sam Mayeske and Tanner Richardson; Kilmer Torres earned his first shutout victory in goal.
In varsity action, Gardner Edgerton High School posted a 2-0 win behind goals from Luke Fischer and Kade Frizzell.
Just four minutes into the game, junior forward Dakota Steuber slotted a well weighted pass to senior midfielder Fischer who hammered home the goal.
Twenty minutes later, GEHS went up 2-0 on a long range bomb from Frizzell.
The 2-0 win was the Blazers second straight and credit the job by goalie G.K. Boers and his defensive support.
“This is the first time that all three teams were victorious on game night,” said coach Andy Weber.
