Following four weeks of practice, the Blazer soccer season will begin the season at Shawnee Heights in Topeka, September 1st.
“We graduated some key talent and will be very young season,” said coach Andy Weber, now in his eighth season. Still, we have our goals set on finishing in the top half of the league and to win regional.”
Gone to graduation are the leading scorer and points earner in GEHS history, Dakota Steuber and Captains Ashton Vega and Jordan Peralez.
Weber will look to seniors Carson Harding, Austin George and Jahmir Clark to provide leadership.
“Every league game will be tough, but we look forward to those games as a chance to improve and compete to the best of our ability,” added Weber.
