Blazer JV nets’ third at league tennis meet

Playing some of their best tennis of the season, the Blazer Junior varsity placed third in the East Kansas league tennis meet April 24.
“The kids played extremely well,” said Coach Jon Collum. We took third as a team and lost tying for second place by one point.”
The number one doubles team of Jeff Swartz and Cameron Miller pushed powerhouse Blue Valley North to the brink before bowing 8-5 in the championship. The number two doubles team of Colton Mullins and Grant Hansen also finished second losing a close championship match with Blue Valley North.
In singles, Jacob Boring finished sixth in number one competition and Jacob Lathrum took sixth in number two competition.
