Blazer, Broncos brace for season openers

Ready or not the high school football season has arrived.  Following three weeks of practice the teams will take to the grid iron this Friday in season opening matches.
Spring Hill, which posted 4 wins last year, host arch rival Louisburg. Most of the offensive and defensive line returns including junior two way starter Kainon Laingley Clark, fullback Jacob McDade and tailback Mike Epp. Kickoff is 7 pm at the district stadium.
GEHS host rival Blue Valley  in a key early season East Kansas league match-up. Junior tailback Traevohn Wrench and senior linebacker Matt Plank led the way. Plank recorded 127 tackles last season . Wrench looks to re set the rushing record book again. THE Blazers move to 6A and will tackle Olathe South, Olathe North and Olathe Northwest in its district.
