Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Smith

Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Smith, 63, of Gardner, Kansas, passed away May 23, 2014 at Olathe Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m., June 6, 2014 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, (913)856-7111. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., before the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com.

Frank was born Dec. 5, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska to Juanita Mae Roether and Donald Smith. He lived in Sunflower Village and attended De Soto, Kansas schools. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps.

Frank married Carmen G. Stuck on July 21, 1972 in De Soto. They moved to Lenexa in 2008 and then to Gardner in 2012. Frank worked in maintenance for B.E. Aerospace in Lenexa for over 40 years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Frank is survived by his wife Carmen, of the home; daughter Terri L. and husband Marshall Mason, of Gardner; and sister Linda Simmonds of Topeka, Kansas.
