Gardner Community Theatre’s first-ever youth production Beauty and the Beast, Jr. drew an audience of over 1,500 to five performances at the Auditorium at Gardner Edgerton High School this weekend.

Actors and actresses ranging in age from 8 to 18 thrilled theater-goers with the classic fairy tale of the beautiful and kind Belle and the hideous Beast who breaks a spell to become a dashing prince.
“The kids were amazing,” said the show’s director, Becky DeNoon. “They were professionals, they got better and better each show. From a director’s standpoint this was far and away one of the best productions we’ve done.”
Gardner Community Theatre is in preparations for its next production, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The show will run July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 at the Auditorium at Gardner Edgerton High School. Tickets are available at Price Chopper and at the door.
