The Boxcar Bar & Grill, in Edgerton, recently held their third annual Food Run and Charity Ride to benefit the Edgerton Food Pantry.
The event was held April 26, and began at the Boxcar, and included stops in Hillsdale, Paola, Ottawa, and Wellsville, before ending back at the Boxcar in Edgerton.
There were more than 30 motorcycles involved in the ride, with several bikes having two riders. Each rider donated ten dollars to participate in the ride.
The ride raised a total of approximately $600, including $120 that had been previously collected at the bar.  And there were also several boxes of food that had been collected at the bar. In total, the bar and grill was able to provide much needed food items to the Edgerton Food Pantry.
Jody Riddle, owner of the Boxcar Bar & Grill commented, “The amount of money and food that was raised was awesome and I was very happy with the overall outcome, and hope that next year’s event can be even better.”
The staff would like to thank all the friends of the bar who helped contribute to this charity event.
