Charlotte Jean Parsons

Charlotte Jean Parsons, 80, Shawnee, Kan, formerly of Hamilton, Mo, passed away on August 11, 2017, in Shawnee at the Sharon Lane Nursing Home. Jean was born on January 14, 1937, in Shelby, Mo., to Kenneth and Wilma (Myers) Guyer. She had been a mother, homemaker, and in the past had worked at Casey’s and the Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Hamilton. She had been a member of a RV Club and the Lathrop Quilt Club. She married Marvin J.E. “John” Parsons on March 2, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death. Jean was also preceded by her parents; sons, Dennis S. Parsons and Kenneth D. Parsons; and a sister, Shirley Campbell. Survivors: Children-Larry (Stacy) Parsons, Plattsburg, Mo.; Terry (Bonny) Parsons, Shawnee, Kan.; and Kathy (Rob) Terry, Blue Springs, Mo.; Daughter-in-Law, Cathy Parsons, Princeton, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother-Jerry Guyer, Fla.. Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place after the service. Virginia E. Ebberts, 95, of Bonner Springs, Kan passed away August 11, 2017. Virginia was born December 25, 1921 in Lenexa, Kan to Roy E. and Goldie M. (Phillips) Potts. She grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School. Virginia married Robert William Ebberts. She was a member of the Shawnee Presbyterian Church. Virginia sold Tupperware but most of all she enjoyed caring for her family. She will be missed by family and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister, Gladys Maxine Punches. She is survived by her children: Larry and Veta Ebberts of Ft. Following high school Mike served in the US Air Force. Mike worked as a security officer in Kansas City area for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Patrick Sharon.
