Attorney General to host open meetings seminar scheduled in late July

Registration is now open for the annual Kansas Open Meetings and Open Records Act training seminars, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced.
The seminars will be presented at six locations across Kansas and are sponsored by the Attorney General’s Office, Kansas Sunshine Coalition for Open Government, Kansas Press Association and Kansas Newspaper Foundation. In Johnson County, seminar will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 28 at the Johnson County Central Library, 9875 W. 87th Street in Overland Park.
“We are pleased to once again offer these seminars on the basics of Kansas open meeting and open records laws,” Schmidt said.
