Annual Blazer baseball hitting league set to begin

The second Annual Blazer baseball hitting league for grades 5-8  will begin competition Dec. 15 in the Gardner Edegerton High School  multipurpose room.  A practice session for all players will take place Dec. 8.
All players must be enrolled in a school from USD 231 and will participate in their own grade level.  No out of district players will be accepted.  All levels of ability will compete against their own grade level.
The league will have two  divisions. There will be fifth through-eighth grade divisions. Each league will be limited to a maximum of seven teams and will play six games. Teams will  consist of four players and a coach.  The coach will pitch to his team.
All games will be in the GEHS multipurpose room. Scoring is determined on where the ball is hit in the cage.  An adult must pitch to his team. GEHS coaches  will set the pitching distance and do the scoring.
