4-H youth win Johnson County Rodeo

OLATHE, Kan. — The following Johnson County K-State Research and Extension 4-H youth won their divisions in the Round Robin Showmanship competition at the 2013 Johnson County Fair, held Aug. 9 in Gardner, Kan.
Round Robin  Results:
Senior 4-H Division: Jenna Goetzmann, 15 yr., Gardner, Kan., daughter of Pete and Donna Goetzmann.
Intermediate 4-H Division: Michael Dowd, 13 yr., Olathe, Kan., son of Tim and Julie Dowd.
Junior 4-H Division: Emma Knappenberger, 10 yr., Olathe, Kan, daughter of Todd and Tricia Knappenberger.
To qualify for the Friday evening Round Robin, 4-H’ers needed to win their age division in one of the livestock species shows at the fair. Round Robin consists of demonstrating showmanship capability with cattle, swine, sheep and goats. Jenna, Michael and Emma are eligible to compete at the upcoming Kansas State Fair, Sept. 6 – 15, in Hutchinson, Kan.
