Three persons were taken to the hospital following a two-car crash on Interstate 35 near Santa Fe Street in Olathe on Dec. 11.
The accident took place at about 7:55 p.m.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), both vehicles were northbound on I-35 when a 1997 Nissan driven by 24-year-old Daniel Guevara-Hernandez of Olathe lost control due to wet conditions and struck a 2000 Isuzu driven by 42-year-old Fernando Kuripet of Olathe.
The impact caused Kuripet’s vehicle to roll.
Josefina G. Diaz, 40, Olathe, was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for injuries.
The extent of her injuries was not known at press time. Guevara-Harnandez and Kupriet were transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment of “possible injuries,” according to the KHP.
All three persons were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
