Tammy Sue White, 50, of Gardner, Kan. passed away Aug. 21, 2014 at Olathe Medical Center.
Tammy was born Nov. 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Okla. to Richard William, Sr. and Monta Carol (McPherson) Truitt. She grew up in Olathe and attended school, she then moved to Gardner in 2001 with her husband Mike Skaggs.
The family would like to send a special “thank you” to Mike Skaggs for bringing joy and peace to Tammy in the last 14 years of her life, God Bless Mike. Tammy loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Tammy worked as an account manager for Smart Warehousing in Lenexa, Kan. for six years. She was a Baptist.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father and infant son, Anthony.
She is survived by her husband Mike, of the home; mother, Monta Carol Truitt, of Spring Hill, Kan.; daughters, Melissa Macias, of Kansas City, Kan. and Kristin Larson, of Denver, Colo.; siblings, LeEtta Wilson, of Wellsville, Kan., Richard William Truitt, Jr., of Spring Hill, Carol Ann Truitt, of Denver, Colo., James Christopher Beasley, of Spring Hill, and Michael Joseph Moles, of Olathe, KS and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Aug. 25, 2014 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS 66030 (913)856-7111. Visitation was held, Aug. 24, 2014, also at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Aug. 26, 2014 at Wanette Cemetery in Wanette, Okla. Memorial contributions may be made to American Liver Foundation.
